Impact of Spotted Hyena Optimized Cascade Controller in Load Frequency Control of Wave-Solar-Double Compensated Capacitive Energy Storage Based Interconnected Power System

The concept of automatic generation control has an immense role in providing quality power interconnected system. To obtain by controlling the oscillations frequency and tie-line power, a proper controller design is necessary. So, innovative endeavor been undertaken to enforce two-stage with amalgamation proportional-derivative filter (PDN) (integer-order) fractional order integral-derivative (FOID), i.e., PDN(FOID). In effort acquire controller’s gains parameters, bio-inspired meta-heuristic spotted hyena optimizer applied. Various examinations manifest excellence PDN(FOID) over other controllers such as integral, proportional–integral, proportional–integral-derivative filter, PID from perspectives concerning diminished amount peak anomaly oscillations, instant settling for three-area system includes thermal–bio-diesel area-1; thermal–geothermal plant area-2; thermal–split-shaft gas turbine area-3. It also observed that presence renewable sources wave plants photovoltaics makes significantly better compared base system, when assessed individually or both together. Action combination capacitive energy storage duple compensation examined using controller, which provides noteworthy outcome dynamic performance. Moreover, parameter values at nominal condition are appropriate random patterns disturbance needed optimization.
